Council members

Get to know the members of the Public Transport Council. Chosen from a range of sectors, they play a key role in addressing commuter concerns and reviewing public transport policies.

PTC's Council Members are appointed on the basis of their competency, good public standing and wealth of experience, especially their ability to contribute effectively to PTC's deliberation on public transport issues. The Council Members are chosen from a wide spectrum of society including:

  • Professional services

  • Business

  • Academic institutions

  • Labour unions

  • Grassroots organisations

The multiplicity of representation and experience of the Council members allows PTC to objectively and holistically weigh views and concerns from commuters, public agencies and public transport operators, to improve the public transport system.
