Mr Loh is President of the Air-Transport Executive Staff Union. He has served as a union leader since 2010 and held various positions through the years including Assistant Treasurer in 2010 and Deputy General Secretary in 2014 before being elected as President in 2017.

He is also a member of the NTUC Central Committee and the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) Central Committee.

Mr Loh was awarded the Public Service Medal (Covid-19) in 2024.
