Mr Naseer is the Advisor to the Singapore Kadayanallur Muslim League (SKML), where he has been a member since 1987. He is the second SKML President to receive the Justice of Peace honours and was awarded the Public Service Medal in 2015. He previously held positions as MUIS Council Member, Mendaki Board Member and also sat in the SINDA Executive Committee. He continues to hold various positions and contributes to the community through many different organisations.

He is the Chairman of West Coast Community Club Indian Activity Executive Committee and a member of the West Coast Citizens' Consultative Committee and Community Club Management Committee.
