Mr Sazali Bin Zainal is the General Secretary of the ST Engineering Staff Union and a Member of the NTUC Central Committee. Mr Sazali has also been an Aircraft Engineer with ST Engineering Aerospace Aircraft Maintenance Pte Ltd since 1996.

A recipient of the Public Service Medal in 2024, he has been a dedicated advocate for workers, including negotiating fair outcomes for members and helping to unite different worker groups under a common agreement. He has worked to build and maintain a collaborative labour-management relationship in his organisation. He brings to the Council his commitment to improving the lives of workers and his experience in fostering strong labour-management relations in the aerospace and engineering sectors.
