Non-public bus services
Find out how fare regulations for non-public bus services work in Singapore, including approval processes and the responsibilities of operators.
The non-public bus services are provided on commercial basis, giving commuters another transport option.
To safeguard commuters’ interests, PTC requires operators of non-public transport services to submit proposed fares for approval before they can implement the fares for their services. PTC will assess proposed fares against the fare pricing policy.
The fare pricing policy lays out the principles and conditions under which a non-public bus operator charges fares for the services it offers, such as requiring the operator to give commuters advanced notice of any fare changes prior to its implementation.
