About PTC

Mr Cheng Yong Tai

Mr Cheng is the Chief Editor of the Chinese News Division at Mediacorp. He is responsible for the division’s editorial, administration, manpower, finances, training, and development. With 30 years in the media industry, he has extensive experience in operating and managing large-scale news coverage.

He is also a member of the National Translation Committee (NTC), the Chinese Resource Panel under NTC and the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning. Mr Cheng holds a Master of Arts in Applied Sociology and a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Studies and Sociology from the National University of Singapore.
